Renee
VOLUNTEER

 Renee, a retired licensed physical therapist assistant from Illinois, relocated to East Troy, WI with her husband Jim after 29 years in the field. With six children and 16 grandchildren, their family keeps them occupied. They enjoy activities like fishing and swimming on the lake. In her free time, Renee finds pleasure in gardening, cooking, baking, reading, yoga, and taking walks. Having worked with special needs children and young adults throughout her career, she now misses the interactions with this special group. Determined to give back to her new community, Renee plans to volunteer whenever possible. 





Jill
VOLUNTEER

Jill joins our volunteer staff as a retired County Humane Officer and a 34-year resident of Mukwonago. Her passion lies in wellness and serving others, evident in her weekly visits to The Haase House. Jill fosters animals for the Haws animal shelter, earning the title "dog whisperer of Waukesha County." She enjoys hobbies like gardening, reading, Pickleball, and kayaking. With a heart full of kindness, Jill actively engages in YMCA exercise sessions, park visits, boardgames, field trips, and snack preparations at The Haase House, making a positive impact on her community and its members. 






Christen
OFFICE ASSISTANT & PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Joining The Haase House team as both a Program Assistant and Office Assistant, Christen brings her warm, nurturing spirit and deep passion for helping others. Born and raised in Elkhorn, she has dedicated her career to creating inclusive spaces where individuals can grow and thrive. With experience as a special education paraprofessional and a background in nonprofit administration, Christen loves the balance of hands-on client support and behind-the-scenes organization, allowing her to use a unique blend of skills to make a meaningful impact. Outside of THH, Christen finds joy in nature, especially by the water, and enjoys walking her dog Bella, practicing yoga, and diving into a good book. As a dedicated mom, she and her Partner, Eryca, cherish time with her four children—Lola, Izaac, Dax, and Elle. She’s passionate about healthy living, gluten-free and clean eating, and is slowly working toward her yoga certification. Music is always playing in the background of her life, and if there’s dark chocolate involved, even better! 



Judi
BOOKKEEPING

Hailing from Mukwonago, Judi shares her home with her husband and three energetic dogs. During her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with family, cultivating a flourishing garden, and pursuing various crafts such as painting, pottery and sewing. With four decades of experience in bookkeeping, her expertise is a great asset to the Haase House office team. Additionally, her invaluable contributions extend to her membership on the organization's Board of Directors. Thankful for the honor to collaborate alongside such an exceptional community, Judi is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the The Haase House.

Michele
PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Michele is a valued member of The Haase House team, bringing over 22 years of experience as a paraeducator. Originally from Milwaukee, she now resides in Vernon with her husband and their two sons. Michele's passion for helping others shines through in her work, where she strives to make a positive impact on the lives of students with disabilities. Michele is known for her compassion and caring nature, qualities that have guided her both professionally and personally. Her proudest achievement is raising her two sons and witnessing the great young men they have become. Outside of work, Michele enjoys a variety of activities, including reading, walking, biking, yoga, gardening, attending outdoor concerts, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. A fun fact about Michele is her love for ‘80s music; as a child, she was an avid fan of the American Top 40 countdown, where she would diligently note down all the artists and songs.



 Kennedy
PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Originally from Mukwonago, Kennedy is currently a full-time student at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, pursuing a major in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology. Actively involved in the pre-occupational therapy program, Kennedy is dedicated to building a world where every voice is heard and truly valued. As an advocate for equal opportunities, she brings a compassionate and empathetic approach to her work at The Haase House, connecting deeply with clients and positively impacting everyone she meets. Her dream is to contribute to a world where everyone has the support they need to lead a self-determined, purposeful life.
Outside of work, Kennedy finds joy in nature, scenic drives, and the beauty of the changing seasons. Her creative side shines through her love of drawing and painting, and she cherishes time spent with her beloved dogs.


Betsy
DISABILITY SERVICES ASSISTANT

Betsy is on the path to becoming an Occupational Therapist, and has a passion for empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve independence. Currently enrolled in UW-Madison’s Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program, she attributes some of her success to the valuable experiences and connections she gained at The Haase House. Betsy has long been involved in Best Buddies and also coaches Sparkle Cheer, an inclusive dance team, where she discovered her love for working with this remarkable community. Known for her positivity and contagious smile, Betsy is dedicated to making each day meaningful for those around her.
In her free time, Betsy enjoys hiking in Door County, cozying up with a good book at a favorite coffee shop, and spending time with her cat, Indy Rue.

Christina S. 
MUSIC THERAPIST

As our Music Therapist, Christina brings the healing power of music to The Haase House. A lifelong Wisconsin resident, she has built lasting connections across communities and is dedicated to serving individuals with special needs. Christina holds specialized training in neurological music therapy and MATADOC, and she has delivered therapeutic music services in hospitals, schools, and homes since earning her degree. Known for her creativity and strong rapport with clients, Christina enriches each session with spontaneously crafted music and lyrics.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys a busy family life with her husband of 14 years, their six children, seven chickens, and family dog. When she’s not attending her kids’ activities, she helps manage her husband’s venue and catering business. Her commitment to balancing her family and professional life reflects her passion and dedication to all she does.

EMMA
DISABILITY SERVICES MANAGER

Our Disability Services Manager, Emma, brings over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy with minors in Psychology and Studio Art. Emma’s background focuses on process-based learning with an emphasis on the whole person. Passionate about lifelong learning, she places a strong focus on independence, autonomy, and quality of life for all. Through her background in all-abilities community programming, job coaching, and teaching art to adults with disabilities, Emma combines her direct support knowledge and leadership to help clients reach their highest potential in a positive, empowering environment. In her free time, Emma enjoys cozying up with a good book, traveling with her husband, or spending time with her animals, family & friends. Emma is excited to support everyone at The Haase House as they grow and thrive.

MARY HAASE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As the Executive Director of The Haase House, Mary Haase brings over 33 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and a background in Special Education, with certifications as a Transition Specialist and Autism Specialist. Mary has been a lifelong advocate for her son with autism and for others with disabilities, actively engaging in statewide initiatives for inclusion, self-determination, and family support. Her expertise in therapy, psychology, and neurology informs her work developing effective programs to foster independence. Committed to creating a hopeful future for families, Mary strives to strengthen community connections, ensure financial stability, and uphold The Haase House's mission for generations to come.

Isabelle
PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Isabelle is a proud honors graduate in Human Services from Waukesha County Technical College, bringing both academic dedication and a deep commitment to helping others to her role at The Haase House. With two and a half years of experience as a Behavior Technician in Applied Behavior Analysis, she has built a solid foundation in supporting individuals with diverse needs. Known for her open-mindedness and understanding, Isabelle brings warmth and inclusivity to the Haase House family.
A true nature enthusiast, Isabelle loves exploring the outdoors and often shares her passion during THH adventures. When she's not working, she’s enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, or crafting beautiful jewelry inspired by her travels, often incorporating rocks and crystals she's collected. At home, she loves cozy movie nights and puzzles with her husband, and spending time with their two adorable orange cats.
