Haase Community Connections is dedicated to providing meaningful, effective services for young adults with disabilities. We prioritize our clients’ needs, reflected in our exceptional 1:3 staff-to-client ratio and the calm, residential environment we offer. While delivering this level of personalized support comes with more overhead, we believe it’s well worth it. Our Board and Committees work tirelessly to ensure financial stability through fundraising, connecting with donors, pursuing employer match programs, and writing numerous grants throughout the year. This support allows us to focus funds directly on client needs rather than administrative or basic operational costs. Importantly, all Board and Committee members are volunteers. Rather than expanding into a larger setting, we plan to grow by adding another home, allowing us to maintain our 'small but mighty' approach. This individualized and effective model supports clients to learn, grow, and prepare for real-life experiences and brings comfort to families and guardians to know we are here for them.
Over the years, we have been deeply grateful for the donors who have supported our mission. The financial support from our community and families strengthens our confidence, showing that many believe in the work we do. Since becoming a nonprofit, we’ve been able to fund essential resources, including iPads, tablets, evidence-based reading software, art supplies, budget math games, leisure activity supplies, special instructor fees, furniture, a pergola, a fully-paid vehicle, a new HVAC system and windows, exercise equipment, adaptive kitchen tools, patio furniture and so much more. Our home brings comfort and safety to our clients and staff and there certainly isn’t a better learning environment than what we have at The Haase House.
