Why Are Community Events Important?
At The Haase House, we believe one of the most important aspects of our participants' growth and development is getting them out of the house, enjoying and engaging with others in THEIR desires, and giving them very typical life experiences--including ones they never thought possible. Their self-esteem and happiness now as young adults and in the future need to be "shaped" with healthy choices and habits.
What Kind of Events Do We Offer?
THH offers two types events:
- THH ONLY Events: for Daily THH Attendees Only
- THH OPEN Events: for both THH Daily Attendees AND any young adults with disabilities from the community
- Our events/activities are chosen by letting our participants have a "voice" in what they desire
- We offer an extensive range of opportunities for our participants to enjoy indoor and outdoor events and activities year round
- Experiences such as bowling, mini-golf, movies, plays, Summer Fest, State Fair, concerts, rock-climbing, fishing, apple-picking, etc.
- We also bring special guests or activities to The Haase House including massage therapists, pet stores, cribbage/chess teams, cooks, artists, special guests for lunches, etc.
How Do I Pay For Events?
